The Housing and Community Renewal (HCR) Department core function is to provide housing and community development assistance and to make sure that every Turks and Caicos Islander has access to “fair and equal” housing.

To achieve these goals, HCR will run many programs that are intended to support homeownership, increase access to affordable housing, rebalance the supply demand curve, and improve the living conditions for Turks and Caicos Islanders.

HCR’s mandate is to oversee various housing programs in the name of promoting fair and equal housing opportunities for Turks and Caicos Islanders.

The Department’s mission is to meet the demand of housing needs whilst prioritizing home ownership for Turks and Caicos Islanders.
